Oh yea, this girl was MADE for Pre-K. Not a glimmer of doubt that she loves it.
We've got funny furry feet day for the letter F. Yellow day was celebrated with none other than her HOPE shirt. And, who wouldn't want to smell the feet of this cutie kitty cat!
Let's hear it for the pepperoni and pepper pizza on P day.
Once a week, a new student is picked to take home the "All About Me Bag"
it returns to school with five items in it to share. Hope was smitten
to take her best buddy Boe (stuffed dog), her lion, a matchbox truck (we
have no idea why). Plus her day to take it in was...drumroll please,
Her first field trip! It was a rainy, cold, muddy adventure to the Pumpkin Patch! A corn maze, hayride, animal petting and pumpkin picking filled the afternoon.
** side note to above picture** The girl next to Hope is Reece. Because of my lagging in this blog, I have the luxury to foreshadow just a little bit. Let's take note of Hope and Reece...take note of how they are snuggled under their teacher's umbrella. This could just be the beginning of winning the teacher over with their cuteness. Just wait, you'll see....there will be a casting call for the Christmas program...I'm just sayin'. :)
Grandpa Said came out for the event!
Believe it or not, after all the off and on rain, cold winds, and muddy boots, there was a rainbow just peeking through the clouds as the kiddos posed for this last picture in the pumpkin patch. I'm not sure it shows up well in my photo, but it was there!
Nope. We've got some fourth grade happenings going on. Emma's last Jog-a-Thon and a field trip to Feast of a Hunter's Moon. So unreal that this gal is rounding out her last year at Union Elementary. So unreal.
This is from the Beef and Boards rendition of Snow White was a fun time with the yahoos and their Grandma. By the way, that's not Grandma in the picture...that's Snow White. ;)
Ok, so I left these out from the last post. They fall under the day spent at Stuckey Farms. Can a grown adult riding in a pig barrel get any weirder?
...why yes, yes it can. When Hope is quiet and entertaining herself, you better grab the camera. I have no clue what gave this child the idea that pink dance tights and a New Year headband was proper coloring attire.
Usually, weirdness doesn't come out of this one. However, during an autumn bonfire, she declared it was her 4-H cake-decorating project's death day. With a ceremonial toss, we all stood and watch the project melt..I mean die. So weird. My family is so weird....good thing I'm there to balance it all out.
Ok, so this is just SOME of October. I'm not sure what possessed me to think I could fit three weeks into one post. However, amazed that I'm somewhat catching up on the end of the year.....think I'll make it through December by midnight. ....oh that's so funny.
Forgive me Father for I have not blogged since.....since....well, a VERY long time!!!
What is wrong with me? As if life didn't happen for the past two months? pish-posh, we know that ain't true! Let's face it, I've just not been on my picture-taking-down-loading-log-on-get-it-done best!
So New Year's resolution...lets do better, Jill. Get those memories back up here...preserve those classic moments...forever etch in all that craziness you call life.
