Still my buddy...

Still remember when this fella slept curled up on my feet every night.  Every night.
Until one night (which I will never forget) he pounced and circled, never seeming to find rest, and eventually rooted his way up towards the middle of our bed.  He slept with his head rested on my very large belly.  He knew....

At 5:00am the contractions started and the next time I saw this dog, he was introduced to Emma.
....and no longer slept on my feet.

Over seven years later, still in much love with my Hank. xoxo

11 days?!

Has it really been eleven days since my past posting?  Don't think for a second that neither of my two kids haven't done something cute and exciting.  Because, quite simply....they have.  xoxo

I think we have hit the story-telling stage with a particular two year old. All day everyday, talking non-stop, about anything.

Sunday we all pile in the car and start heading our way down the driveway.  From the back seat we hear, "ewwwwwww, dat stinks, who tooted?!"
Her daddy replies, "um, Hope was it you?"
She answers, "uhhhhh, I don't dink so.  Oh ya, I check, it was me. Yes."
Rolling laughter at herself.
Her mom says, "Hope, that might be the dumbest thing I've heard you say."
....and of course what do I get back?  "OH YES MOMMY, IT TIS!"  [laughing from the deepest part of your belly that it hurts so bad]

Pictures unrelated to the script....just thought it would help describe the randomness I get from this child all day.
She's. a. hoot.

alright, let's throw in some pictures..

Pictures are downloading again, and a mountain to sort through. What better way to begin the beautiful memories other than around the dinner table.

You see I have two beautiful gals. Both adoring the bluest of blue eyes, and sweet strays of blond whispies.  We wash our hands, take a seat at the table and patiently wait till everyone is seated.  With everyone seated so poised, we gently raise our hands as two precious sisters begin their prayer...
Open and shut them, open and shut them...give a little clap.
Open and shut them, open and shut them...put them in your lap. [bow heads]
God is great, God is good,
Thank you Lord for our daily food,
By His hands we are fed,
Thank you Lord for our daily bread.

Within seconds after the loving prayer by those sweet adorable girls, something happens.
Call it spaghetti night, call it normal, or just call it being a kid and having fun...whatever it is, we usually need a towel.
Sometimes the towel ends up on our heads.
Sometimes it comes with an announcement that goes something like this, "Look Mom, I'm a cow - mmMOOOoooOOOOoooOOOOOOo."
Sometimes I think to myself maybe, just maybe, when these two pray, what God really hears is....
God is great, God is good,
We get silly when by our food.
By His hands we are fed,
Thank you Lord because mom is entertained up till time for bed!
