A few weeks ago, my daughter's Daisy Troop leaders e-mailed and asked if I would be willing to take the role of "cookie mom" for their Girl Scout troop. ....and sometimes "yes" just comes out, I mean really how hard could it be?
So these Girl Scouts are serious about their cookies! Thank goodness our low-key group is just getting our feet wet in the cookie biz, so no big headache...yet. :)
Our wonderful troop of 10 girls sold over 850 boxes of those irresistible Thin Mints, Tagalongs, Samoas and Trefoils! Woop-Woop!! As the cookie mom, last Thursday brought pick-up and sorting. Calling in some back-up, Papaw and Grandma became the official "cookie grandparents" of troop 366. Emma, loving every second of it, was the queen Daisy with unloading, counting, sorting and delivering those boxes.
Thanks to the great parents of troop 366 that helped clear out these cookies from our dining room - and a BIG thanks to all of Emma's cookie patrons....sometimes "yes" just can be the most wonderful and contagious word.
