Sunday evening, Adam and I dressed up our darling girls and headed out to the Christmas concert at church. Two girls, two dresses, two bows, two gorgeous smiles. The drive to church led us past many houses sparkling with lights...and when you have kids, those lights seem to be more sparkly than they really are (and magical too)! The church was full of decorations, people dressed in festive clothes, and a real celebratory ambiance. Our first taste of the holiday season. Magical. I love it.
The concert started. Hope on my lap, with Emma sitting between Adam and I. Hope is shaking her hips and clapping her hands, while Emma is in awe of the lights and music.
Christmas music. Beautiful.
My family. Beautiful.
Go tell it on the Mountain, Angels we have Heard on High, Silent Night. All beautiful. All in celebration of the birth of our Savior.
I sit there watching my girls and think of two years ago. Just two short years. Adam and I sat in a church in Ohio listening and watching a Christmas concert... Hope the Invitation . It was that night we knew what our little girl's name. It just had to be.
Two years later, hearing many of the same Christmas music...still having Hope.
Glory to God.
Glory to God in the Highest.
...when am I going to start carrying Kleenexes in my purse?
