The curls.

Blond curls. Everyday I would brush through Emma's hair and just gush over with love for her natural big-loop-around-your-finger curls that hung at the bottom of her hair. They were like springs...and I loved them. Just look at them...
And just like everything else in life, all good things must come to an end, right? Last summer, Emma had been begging me for a long time to get her hair cut. It hung below her waist. Getting the length cut off wasn't what made me sad, it was cutting off those bouncing curls. The curls that made my little girl look like a little girl. There was something about them (other than the adorableness)that made me like them....maybe it was the innocence of my daughter or her chubby checks that matched. Whatever it was I did not want to see them go. But part of being a mom is letting go. And letting go, I did. Ever since that cut, her hair has been as straight as could be. So hard...and this was just her curls! Please don't tell me it gets harder!

Good thing God is such a genius. Here is how smart He is. Look closely....

That's right. God is so smart, that just as I let go of Emma's curls, He gave me another beautiful blond. And with His perfect timing, this week she has blossomed some adorable "melt my heart" curls.

Thank you God. Thank you so much for these curls. Made my day.
